Passion and tradition have always been guiding our production. For this reason, when the quality of wines and olive oils is acknowledged by some prestigious awards, we have the confirmation that the commitment we dedicate to our work year after year is really worth it.
Obtaining such high recognition is a great reward for the company and its collaborators, and it represents the right drive towards an excellent quality production in total respect for the environment, the territory, and seasonality.
The 2020 olive oil campaign, characterized by excellent quality and quantity of the olives, has brought outstanding fruits: artichoke, almond, balsamic notes of cut grass are some of the scents that distinguish the aromatic texture of the Best oils of Tuscany in 2020.
In addition to EVO and DOP Oil, at Villa Le Corti we have also produced two varieties of organic monovarietal DOP Oil: Moraiolo and Frantoio. Both of them have obtained important recognition, becoming part of the “Oli d’Italia 2021 Guide” by Gambero Rosso, including the best 100% Made in Italy extra virgin olive oils.
For over ten years, the prestigious Gambero Rosso magazine has been releasing a guide that assorts the best extra virgin olive oils produced in Italy: a tool to promote this great product and its millennial tradition.
“Every oil is the result of a territory, a crusher, different cultivars. A thousand nuances of aromas and flavors to be known and recognized. To enhance and enhance every dish. Every day. For the pleasure of the palate and the good of health.”
In the Gambero Rosso Guide, a leaf is the award for very good olive oils, two leaves characterize the oils of perfect harmony. Two red leaves for olive oils of excellent quality, while three leaves correspond to the highest recognition.
For the 2021 edition of the Gambero Rosso Oli d’Italia Guide, Frantoio DOP oil has obtained two leaves as a “very good” product. Moraiolo DOP oil has obtained two red leaves that stand for “excellent olive oil.”Buy in our Shop

Kerin O’Keefe, the Italian editor of the magazine, describes Cortevecchia as follows: “Aromas of spiced plum, blue flower, botanical herb and a whiff of cedar lift out of the glass. Made with organically farmed Sangiovese and 5% Colorino, the smooth, savory palate features juicy Marasca cherry, licorice and tobacco alongside supple tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced.”Buy in our Shop
