Tour and tasting in the cellar at Villa Le Corti
Built in 1600, contemporary with the construction of Villa Le Corti, designed by the painter and architect Santi di Tito (1536 – 1603), the immense cellars unfold on three levels, under the villa and the surrounding lawn.
The cellars are considered the largest built in the 17th century. In the sharecropping era, a cultural as well as organizational revolution allowed all sharecroppers to vinify their grapes together. A real monument, they have been declared, together with the villa, of national interest and are now protected by the law of the Italian state.
