On the weekend between November 30th and December 1st, we participated at Food & Wine in Progress event at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence. The event, promoted by AIS Toscana and the Regional Union of Tuscan Chefs, is a great review of the region’s culinary excellences.
Now in its 5th edition, Food & Wine in Progress is a must for wine lover, enthusiasts and restaurant owners.
The event, open to all, offered a full calendar of events and appointments such as tastings, cooking shows, debates, meetings, and insights.
Our company was present in the area “Excellence of Tuscany” together with other agricultural companies of the territory selected on the basis of their high quality and production standards. We have chosen to make available for tasting two IGT wines produced at Tenuta La Marsiliana and three wines from Villa Le Corti: two Chianti Classico wines and a IGT Sangiovese.
Enthusiasts who approached Principe Corsini’s tasting counter were pleasantly surprised by our selection. They appreciated Birillo 2017 IGT Costa Toscana Rosso and Marsiliana 2015 Costa Toscana Rosso, of Tenuta La Marsiliana, and also the Chianti Classico and IGT Sangiovese selection of Villa Le Corti: Le Corti 2016 Chianti Classico Annata Docg, Don Tommaso 2015 Chianti Classico Chianti Gran Selezione Docg and Zac 2015 IGT Toscana Sangiovese.
The interest of those present about the production methods of each wine and any other curiosity was satisfied by our team.
On Sunday, we added to the selection also Sant’Andrea Corsini 2005 Vinsanto del Chianti Classico Doc. With Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, the vinsanto of Principe Corsini, aroused a lot of interest not only for its quality, but also for its history. It is in fact a label dedicated to a true saint: Andrea Corsini, bishop of Fiesole of the fourteenth century, sanctified in 1629.
The Principe Corsini winery produces organic and vegan wine and oil in the estates of Villa Le Corti and La Marsiliana.
