Pairing

Chianti Classico DOCG “Le Corti” is the productive base of Villa le Corti. The vineyards are located in San Casciano Val di Pesa, the northern area of Chianti Classico just 15 km south of Florence.

The vineyards, planted entirely on hills, are located at 220-300 m above sea level and are mainly exposed to south. The soil has an important structure with prevalent white river pebbles alternating with brown clay.

The training form is low spurred cordon, in order to benefit from the warmth of the earth. Le Corti is the classic “Annata” Chianti of the winery, and it is produced with Sangiovese grapes and a small percentage of Colorino.

The wine represents the elegance of Chianti Classico with a candid and sincere personality.

Winemaking

Fermentation takes place in open conical steel tanks, with automatic fulling. Use of selected native yeasts reproduced every year. Controlled temperature of 26 °C for a period of 20 days.

Aging

12 months mainly in concrete tanks.

The organic soul of Villa Le Corti, an extract of the most authentic character of the hills in San Casciano Val di Pesa, with Sangiovese and its sparring partner Colorino. Intense ruby red, for a wine that reveals character, clarity and precision, with a fresh spicy and mint opening aromas and crunchy red berries framed with citrus nuances.

The floral uniqueness of the violets and iris has a peppery touch which immediately makes sense of smell and taste in a gentle and generous sip, with an iridescent texture and structure, and a fresh progression in balance with tasty and refined tannin.

Red meats, roasts, steak, beef carpaccio with mustard hollandaise sauce.
