Q: The Digiwine project: what is it?

A: Digiwine is a new way to sell and distribute our wine in Italy. It is an e-commerce developed by us and exclusive of ours that offers restaurants, wine bars and wine shops owners the opportunity to buy online Principe Corsini products: both wine and oil from Villa Le Corti and Tenuta La Marsiliana. This way, the professionals with VAT numbers save time, money and space in the cellar by purchasing only when they need to replenish their stocks.

Q: How did the idea for the Digiwine project come about?

A: The project was born from the awareness that for a “boutique winery” like Villa Le Corti and Tenuta Marsiliana, the classic sales model with representatives, area managers, etc. … is no longer suitable. Even the national or regional distribution is too expensive for both the producer and the potential customer. This is why we have chosen to develop an online sales channel exclusively dedicated to VAT number owners.

Q: What are the goals of the project for Principe Corsini?

A: To propose and sell our products more efficiently to a wider range of potential customers, without geographical or economic limits. We aim to reach everyone with the same quality of communication without filters or intermediaries. Our goal is to select the best 1,000 customers in Italy.

Q: How is Digiwine different from other wine e-commerce?

A: Very simple: to date no producer proposes its own wine online with a specific communication, directed to VAT number owners.

Q: How was the official launch of the project by journalists, enthusiasts and restaurant owners accepted?

A: I would say very well. The presentation of the Digiwine model has opened the eyes to new possibilities in b2b. Now, it is a question of overcoming the obstacle of credit card payment to which the sector is apparently not prepared.

A: We believe it is a psychological and “generational” impediment that can be rationally overcome in the face of the obvious advantages of the model: order whenever you want, as much as you want, with discounts of 25% on the price list. Furthermore, starting from € 90, the transport is free and above all you have a direct line with us without intermediaries.

Q: What do you hope for the future with respect to the Digiwine project? Are there any news on the horizon?

R: I hope the success that the idea deserves. When this comes the horizon will be shining even for other realities of our own dimension and prestige. We will be happy to host them on the Digiwine platform.
