Doctor Wine awards Per Filo IGT Toscana Sangiovese 2017

Sunday 29 September 2019 took place the presentation event of the new Essential guide to italian wine of Doctor Wine. Like every year, the journalist Daniele Cernilli has brought together in Milan the best excellences of the country for the usual awards ceremony. Fico Wine, of which Principe Corsini is partner in the project, was present with the latest release label, the biodynamic wine Per Filo.

The 2017 harvest, the first produced and the only one currently available on the market, was awarded with 97 points out of 100.

The awards of Doctor Wine at Palazzo Castiglioni

Elena Corsini was present at the prestigious Sala Orlando in Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan and receive the award. Per Filo is part of the Fico Wine project with which Principe Corsini is dedicated to the production of wine in complete harmony with nature: an idea left to the family by Elena’s brother, Filippo Corsini.

With her, Filippo’s vision of producing wine with biodynamic practices continues. Elena takes part in every stage of production and is active in communication and project promotion.

Per Filo enters in the Essential guide of italian wine 2020

Daniele Cernilli awarded Per Filo as it is part of those “wines that carry the flag of national enology to the top […], the best of our production”.

Per Filo, therefore, enters the Essential guide to italian wine 2020 among the best labels of the year. A great success for the Fico Wine project started in 2015 at Villa Le Corti and a further confirmation that this is the right direction. The production of Fico and Per Filo bottles will continue as in the ideas of Filippo, in the harmonious respect of the environment and with the use of eco-fiendly materials, such as the label printed on recycled paper.

Biodynamic sangiovese, true expression of Chianti Classico

Per Filo was born in San Casciano Val di Pesa on the hills surrounding Villa Le Corti at about 270 meters above sea level, in the Gugliaie vineyard. 100% Sangiovese, it is characterized by an intense ruby red color with transparent reflections and well-defined aromas.

All features that make Per Filo an archetype of purity defined by the Sangiovese of Chianti Classico. Ideal for tasting with classic dishes of the Tuscan tradition. To date, 1,800 bottles have been produced.
