The president and publisher of the online magazine JamesSuckling.com, awarded the highest score to Don Tommaso 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, the wine that best expresses the terroir where it was born. A great success that makes us satisfied and proud of our efforts.

Villa Le Corti grows predominantly Sangiovese, the prince grape variety of Tuscany. Within the Chianti Classico territory, in particular, Sangiovese has adapted to the different types and characteristics of the terroir, giving rise to excellent reds.
Among the nine labels produced at Villa Le Corti in San Casciano in Val Di Pesa, three of them have received recognition from wine critic Suckling. Specifically, Don Tommaso 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione received 94 points, while Le Corti 2021 Chianti Classico DOCG and Cortevecchia 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva 92 points.

The awards arrived even for Tenuta Marsiliana wines repay the efforts of Duccio Corsini and his sister Sabina to enhance the peculiarities of the surrounding terroir: twenty hectares of vineyards in the heart of Maremma area.
In particular, three labels have won awards from Suckling. The two reds – so-called SuperTuscan because of their production in Tuscany from international grape varieties – Marsiliana 2019 IGT Costa Toscana (93 points) and Birillo 2020 IGT Costa Toscana (92 points). Moreover, the fresh white Vermentino 2022 IGT Toscana scored 91 points.
