The first organic harvest at Villa Le Corti

Starting this year the agricultural production of Villa Le Corti is entirely certified organic. The achievement achieved for us is a real success, the reward for the work we do every day in the vineyard and in the olive groves. The certification comes for the cultivation of the vine comes a few years after that obtained for the oil, certified organic since 2007.

Duccio Corsini comments on this important result: “1993 was the first year of my management of Villa Le Corti.”

QCertifications certifies organic quality at Villa Le Corti

The certifying body QCertificazioni, a national reference organ, has verified the cultivation process of all the vine and olive crops as well as the management of the arable crops of the vegetable gardens and gardens.

The verification took place both from a documentary point of view and from a practical point of view with regular visits to the countryside, but also in our mill and in the cellar. Under examination were the cultivation techniques implemented at Villa Le Corti.

Criteria for assigning organic certification

Our farm has satisfied all the criteria because the techniques used are exactly those typical of the organic, that is:

  • No use of herbicides
  • No use of systemic products that are absorbed by the plant’s lymphatic system
  • Exclusively mechanical working of the soil
  • Exclusive use of so-called contact products that only act on the surface without being absorbed by the plant
