Harvests 2019 and 2021 in Chianti Classico area
Sangiovese is the king grape of Chianti Classico area. At Villa Le Corti, its production is linked to three great wines of the Principe Corsini winery: Don Tommaso, Cortevecchia, and Le Corti recently released with the new 2019 and 2021 vintages.
As for the 2019 harvest, the harsh and humid climate of the first half of the year and a warm but regular summer allowed the perfect phenolic ripening of the grapes. The 2021 harvest was synonymous with healthy and high-quality grapes. They were the prerequisites for an excellent vintage of Chianti Classico, with a wine of structure, fine and ripe tannins, and an interesting aromatic profile.
Le Corti Chianti Classico DOCG 2021
Chianti Classico Le Corti vintage 2021 has a character and identity that enhances the purity and elegance of Sangiovese di San Casciano Val di Pesa. The vine, cultivated in the vineyards of the Villa Le Corti estate, is 95% present, with a small balance of Colorino.
The color is bright and vivid ruby red, with aromas that recall violets, wild rose berries, fresh cherries, pink pepper, and red-orange. The mouthfeel is agile, fresh, and punctuated by juicy flavors of fresh fruit and aromatic herbs. The tannin is present but impalpable. This condition allows a sip of great drinkability and pleasant persistence.
