Description

IGT Costa Toscana “Marsiliana” is the “grand vin” of the estate, a wine made from the selection of the best grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from property vineyards.

A smooth and intense wine, it is the maximum expression of the international Bordeaux blend and the deep, warm power of the Tuscan coast.

Winemaking and Aging

Winemaking

Fermentation lasts 16 days with a max temperature of 28° C.

Aging

The wine ages in new barriques for 15 months. 12 months in bottles.

Tasting Notes

A horse ride at sunset on the Maremma hills of Tenuta Marsiliana, a fascinating place full of Mediterranean spirit: so is this wine. Elegance and warmth, strength and elegance with a dark purple colour that moves sensually in the glass. The aromas are fruity and intense, with the tuning of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot in a dynamic dialogue of rhythm and depth. Notes of blueberries and blackberries, shaded with balsamic resins, with
a wood touch and the reminiscent of spices of an old grocery. On the palate, the wine has pulp and substance, deep vibrations of fruit and sweet and ripe tannins, and a savoury vein with the finishing touch of juniper and cocoa.

Pairing

Woodcock skewer with bacon and herbs.
