Cortevecchia 2016 gets 4 stars from Vinibuoni d'Italia

At Villa Le Corti are produced three different qualities of Chianti Classico: annata, riserva and gran selezione. Our quality riserva, the Chianti Classico DOCG Cortevecchia 2016, has received 4 stars from the Vinibuoni d’Italia guide, an international reference point for Made in Italy wine.

Uniquely dedicated to native vines, the guide is decidedly one of a kind and also presents a very accurate and transparent selection process. More than 80 tasters collaborate with Vinibuoni d’Italia, gathered in 21 work commissions, each operating in its own region of competence.

Chianti Classico Riserva Docg Cortevecchia 2016

The Chianti Classico Riserva Cortevecchia is the most mature expression of our territory. The grapes with which it is produced in fact benefit from a maturation in French oak barrels and tonneaux of about 20 months which allows to develop the typical fragrances of a Chianti Classico.

Spending this time in the barrels, the aromas are amplified and enriched with elements and thickness. Cortevecchia is a wine of great character, also certificated organic and vegan.

The upcoming events where you can taste Cortevecchia 2016

The four stars obtained are an important goal for Principe Corsini. This recognition will allow us to take part in numerous events in the 2019-2020 season next to the Enoteca Italia pavilion.

The Chianti Classico DOCG Cortevecchia 2016 will be available as a preview for wine lovers, restaurant owner and sommeliers in numerous events that will take place in the upcoming months. It is an opportunity to get to know and taste our wine before the official launch on the market.

Ein Prosit, Udine: 24th – 28th October

Ein Prosit will be held in Udine from 24 to 28 October, with the main event of the event scheduled for the weekend: the Tasting Show. During the exhibition, over 150 wine producers will be present, including Principe Corsini with the Chianti Classico Riserva Cortevecchia 2016. Our bottle will be available for tasting at the Enoteca Italia counter run by regional coordinators and expert sommeliers.

Wine Festival, Merano: 9th – 11th November

In Merano from 9 to 11 November 2016, the Cortevecchia Chianti Classico will be available for preview at the Wine Festival. Visitors to the event can take advantage of the opportunity to taste our quality riserva before being put on the market at the Enoteca Italia. This year the tasting counter will be strategically located between the Kurhaus and the Gourmet Arena in the historic center of the city.

Vinitaly, Verona: 19th – 22th April 2020

The Enoteca Italia pavilion at Vinitaly has become a regular event for wine lovers who can thus discover niche wines and reconfirm real excellence in the area. This year among the available labels is the Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Cortevecchia 2016. The Principe Corsini team will also be present in Verona at the international wine and spirits show with a stand of its own where you can taste numerous other Chianti Classico wines and IGT wines of Maremma.

Wine Around, Bra: spring 2020

At Wine Around, an event dedicated to food and wine excellences, there will be the tasting stalls of the Vinibuoni d’Italia and Enoteca Italia guide with particular dedication to wines produced from native vines. The Chianti Classico Cortevecchia fits perfectly into this category. Produced with sangiovese grapes (95%) and colorino (5%) it is a true expression of the Chianti area in which the origins of Principe Corsini are rooted.
