Le Corti

Chianti Classico Docg

Chianti Classico wine is the productive base of the Villa le Corti estate. The vineyards are located in the township of San Cascinao in Pesa Valley, which is the northernmost zone of Chianti Classico production, just 15 km south of Florence. The south-facing vineyards, planted entirely on hills, are at 220-300 m above sea level. The soil has an important skeletal structure with prevalent white river pebbles alternating with brown clay. The vines are low spur-trained cordons in order to benefit from the warmth of the earth. Le Corti is the classic “Vintage” Chianti of the winery, and it is produced with Sangiovese grapes and a small percentage of Colorino.

The wine represents a priceless heritage for the winery, interpreting the elegance of Chianti Classico with a candid and sincere personality.

Tasting and pairing notes:
From Villa Le Corti estate, in San Casciano Val di Pesa, a wine with luminous tones that expresses the quite fond-able natural harmony of the Chianti Classico. The traditional grapes Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo are now Bio, thanks to the latest project of conversion to an organic viticulture. Brilliant ruby red, with a dynamic profile of floral and fruity fragrances: fine aromas of lavender verbena and iris, and fresh notes of crisp cherries, pomegranate and citrus fruits. The palate shines in a lively vivacity, the fruit is supported by peppery and agile tannins. The wine shows a nice smoothness with a persistence of delicate herbs and spices. Pairing: Beef carpaccio with mustard hollandaise sauce
